Other Education Activities and Information

We kick-off with a carnival in the fall welcoming our children and youth back from summer vacation and end our year in May with recognition Sunday and a Bon-Fire Cookout for all classes.

The first Sunday of each month during the school year, is designated "Children's Mass" in which the children take active participation during the worship services acting as ushers, acolytes, readers, and other serving posts. The children are also invited to the front of the Church near the beginning of the service for a Children's Homily with Mother Siobhán. This allows the children to be part of the service and comfortable in God's sanctuary.

All Hallow's Eve is a congregation wide activity that everyone is invited to participate in dressing up and coming to the parish hall for fun, food, and hallow's eve games.

Lock-Down Day, is a fun day for your juniors where we fellowship with friends, have lessons, activities and food. It follows the same structure as an overnight lock-in, only held on a Saturday in the Spring during the day. The program has grown from six kids to eighteen! It is a fun and wonderful ministry to our youth and their friends.

Outreach

Christian Education programs sponsor several community outreach programs. At, Christmas time we collect toys for children for Scott's Place, a homeless shelter in Fairmont. Canned good items are also collected during the fall and given to Scott's Place. During Lent, we collect hygiene items for donations to Scott's Place following Easter.

Soup Opera - while this is an Episcopal Church Men (ECM) function, the juniors have participated in this ministry, as well as served at church activities such as our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Strawberry Festival.
